Four routes, one table

The best route differs from family to family. Compare the thresholds and the rights first, then decide which one to discuss.

How to Choose

Three Questions to Narrow It Down

① Do you plan to run a business here?

Planning to open a company or operate a business → Investor Visa.
No business plans, just living and residing here → move on to the next question.

② Are you 50 or over?

Aged 50 or over with stable overseas income → Retirement Permit, the most direct threshold.
Under 50 → consider Residence by Property or the Premium Visa.

③ Do you want to turn your money into an asset?

Happy to hold property as the basis for residence → Residence by Property, the best living experience.
Prefer to keep funds liquid and treat it as a trial stay → Premium Visa.

Routes can be combined and switched: for example, arrive on a Premium Visa for a year, then move to a Retirement Permit or Residence by Property; or take a Retirement Permit first and buy property once you have settled on an area. The route is not fixed for life — what matters is choosing the right step now.
